Who is Team 337?

The Logan County robotics team began in 1999.  Our team has grown in size and wisdom as we strive to be a role model within our community.  Located in the heart of the southern coal fields of West Virginia, our engineers, sponsors, community, parents and school system support our team and the efforts toward FIRST robotics.  We have pushed to spread the work of FIRST in local, state and national outreach projects.   We feel all students should have the awesome experiences that we have been afforded over the past eight years.

Students from all three high schools and the Career and Technical Center join forces in one common effort to strive to make a positive impact on others. We are changing the way science, math and technology is thought of by all age groups. All team members hold great respect for those that give of their time and resources.  The gained knowledge is exorbitant from working side by side with adult mentors and our partnerships last long beyond the end of a single season and go far beyond designing robots.  Leadership, initiative and collaboration are seen in all that participate. 

 Our success is a direct result of the community helping to provide an enriched education and career options for its youth.  Our much-appreciated sponsors have helped us immensely throughout the years.  Without them our team would not be possible.
